Metroflex Gym San Marcos is bringing back the tradition of serious training to San Marcos and surrounding cities without discriminating workout preferences. Our facility upholds the hardcore training philosophy of Metroflex Gym while incorporating the the needs of San Marcos clientele. We offer the same hardcore training facility as the original Metroflex Gym (and other Metroflex Gyms) plus intense group exercise classes, including the much demanded Les Mills programs, bootcamps, MMA, and childcare.

The History of Metroflex Gym

Metroflex Gym is the hardcore training ground of 100-plus champion bodybuilders, powerlifters, and martial artists. Metroflex also houses IFBB pros like Ronnie Coleman, Johnnie Jackson, Branch Warren and Steve Kuclo along with dozens of other top-level pro body builders, powerlifters, football players, (male/female) fitness athletes, UFC fighters, strongmen, and Highland Games competitors such as elite strength athlete Josh Bryant. Metroflex Gym was founded in 1987 by Brian Dobson, who was getting tired of the commercialization of the fitness industry. He understood the need for hard music for motivation, the need for heavy dumbbells, specialized bars for powerlifting, strongman equipment, chalk, deadlift and squat platforms and yelling and screaming, whatever it takes to get motivated! A devout Christian providing a Christian moral driven attitude franchise, Brian claims, “I am just an old redneck hunter that has been anointed by God to find, build and create champions.”
